The Client

StyleSmart is a UK-based Amazon seller offering travel bags, cabin luggage, and women's loungewear. Despite having quality products, their Amazon presence was underperforming — low visibility, weak listings, and stagnant sales were holding the brand back.

Merxpert took over full account management with a structured, data-driven approach. Within 30 days, ordered product sales grew by 66% and units ordered increased by over 75%.

The Challenge

When StyleSmart partnered with Merxpert, their account had serious gaps across every layer of the Amazon funnel:

  • Listings had no proper keyword structure or SEO targeting
  • Product images were generic and not built to convert
  • No brand story or A+ content was in place
  • Multiple listings had policy compliance issues
  • Stock management problems were causing frequent ranking drops
  • Keywords were not indexed — products simply weren't showing up in search results

The Strategy

Merxpert took over full account management and built a structured, phased optimization plan.

  • Keyword Research & SEO Optimization Using Helium 10 and Search Query Performance data, we identified the highest-volume, most relevant keywords for each listing. These were strategically placed in titles, bullet points, backend fields, and descriptions to maximize indexing and search visibility.
  • Listing Transformation Every listing was rebuilt from scratch. Titles were restructured for both SEO and readability. Bullet points were rewritten to highlight key benefits and features. Descriptions were crafted to improve customer trust and conversion.

  • Image Optimization Product images were completely redesigned. The new images are conversion-focused — clearly showing product dimensions, airline approval compliance, key features, and lifestyle use cases. This directly improves click-through rate and purchase confidence.

  • Brand Story Addition A full brand story section was added across listings, introducing StyleSmart's identity, values, and product range. This builds trust with first-time buyers and improves overall listing quality score.

  • LQS Optimization All listings were built using Helium 10's Listing Builder. Every optimized listing achieved a perfect Listing Quality Score of 10/10.

  • Daily Monitoring The account was monitored daily for ranking changes, stock levels, Buy Box status, and performance trends.

Year-over-year, the same 30-day period last year was nearly doubled in both units sold and total revenue — a 100% improvement compared to the previous year.

Brand Analytics confirmed a clear upward trend in both total customers and total revenue following optimization. The strongest growth weeks occurred immediately after listing changes went live.

What Drove the Growth

  • Search visibility — Listings are now ranking on high search volume keywords like "ryanair cabin bags 40x30x20 with wheels," "backpack with wheels," and "40x30x20 cabin bag with wheels" — keywords that were never properly targeted before.
  • Better images — Conversion-focused visuals gave shoppers the confidence to click and buy.
  • Brand credibility — The brand story and structured listings built trust with new customers.
  • Daily management — Consistent monitoring meant issues were caught and fixed fast.

The Roadblock

One key challenge identified was stock inconsistency. Every time a listing went out of stock, it immediately lost keyword ranking and organic visibility. The dip visible in the final week of the reporting period was directly tied to stock unavailability — not optimization failure.

This confirms a critical insight: optimization creates the engine, but stock consistency keeps it running.
